Local music giants Jah Prayzah, Winky D and Nutty O are expected to set the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) alight at a ‘clash of the giants’ music show set for this Saturday.
For years there has been a long-standing debate on who rules the roost between the two crowd pullers Jah Prayzah and Winky D.
While there is no doubt about their pedigree, the debate has split opinion but up to now there is no clear winner.
More interestingly, the two music heavyweights have neither confirmed nor denied the perceived rivalry.
The setting is therefore perfect for the Jah Prayzah and Winky D contest at a music show dubbed “Redefined Concert”.
However, that is as far as the debate goes with show organisers saying the event was prompted by the need to promote local talent.
“This is not a competition. It’s an initiative to promote local talent and we will continue doing that with various artists. We have started with some of the finest artists in the country,” said Elton Kurima, the show organizer.
Fans from both camps expect nothing short of an electric atmosphere.
The Redefined Concert will also see multi-award winning and one of the most sought-after local musicians, Nutty O performing.
