Viewers are in for some exciting times after the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation -ZBC launched the country’s first ever youth centred music channel, Jive TV on the sidelines of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo.

“We are definitely going to be needing content for Jive TV. Content creators and artists this is your opportunity to shine. We are currently importing a lot of content so this is our time to promote and consume our own content,” said ZBC Chief Executive Officer, Ms Adelaide Chikunguru.

Guest of Honour and Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa highlighted that the new channel, which is also for the young at heart, is an indication of the milestones made by the second republic in the opening up of airwaves.

“The launch of Jive TV is an indication of the milestones recorded by government in opening up air-waves. The 2nd republic is walking the talk,” said Minister Mutsvangwa.

The youth centred TV channel is available on digital platforms and on Digital Television Terrestrial (DTT).
