Local artists continue to raise the nation’s flag high on the regional entertainment scene, the recent being Janet Manyowa who won the Best of Africa Gospel Award at the SABC Crown Gospel Awards 2021.
The multi-award-winning gospel sensation emerged the winner with her song Many Blessings, in the Best of Africa Gospel category in which she was battling it out with another local gospel heavyweight Minister Michael Mahendere, Botswana’s Tsepo Lesole and Cross Ugo of Nigeria.
The SABC Crown Gospel Awards celebrate and reward excellence within the gospel music industry in South Africa and beyond, and have always been broadcast live on SABC channels and this year’s event is set to be broadcast on November 28 on SABC 2.
