Zimbabwe and Turkey Deepen trade ties

By ZBC Reporter

ZIMBABWE’s re-engagement agenda continues to gain traction, with the country sending a delegation to attend the ongoing Africa-Turkey Investment and Business Forum as part of efforts to boost trade ties.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce is currently on a combative outward mission in Turkey to deepen existing trade ties and curve new opportunities for the country and tap into first-world technology for the benefit of Zimbabwe’s re-industrialisation agenda.

In line with the mantra Zimbabwe is Open for Business, the delegation, led by Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Sekai Nzenza, is advancing the country’s improved ease of doing business that has seen foreign direct investment increasing.

Zimbabwe’s aggressive re-industrialisation drive which is anchored on private sector-led growth is the prime reason for the country’s appearance at the Africa-Turkey Business Forum.

“Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Sekai Nzenza (Zimbabwe’s as an agro-based driven economy with unlimited upstream linkages that we are here to present to the World and we have made economic reforms that are pro-investment.”

Economists are upbeat about the Second Republic’s economic trajectory which is a critical foundation towards the attainment of Vision 2030 as spelt out by the National Development Strategy
