YADAH ended the group 1 final match with a 2-1 victory against Herentals in the Chibuku Super Cup Match at the National Sports Stadium this Saturday.
This Sunday marks the conclusion of one of the remaining three Chibuku Super Cup Group 1 matches.
The dead rubber tie between Yadah and Herentals was a stalemate from the duo, with one team required to qualify through to the quarter finals to complete the group stages.
The toss up was at the National Sports Stadium where the students tried to create chances but to no avail. It did not take long for Yadah’s Kudakwashe Mangami to hit a scorching opener in the 13th minute. Herentals replied by upping their attacking play.
In the 29th minute Kelvin Bingala levelled up the match for Herentals.
The match kept the balance, however, Herentals defence gave in after Lennox Muchetu netted for Yadah to seal the first half lead.
The second half was not that colourful. Team Herentals was hungry for a draw in order to make it but the miracle boys blocked the gates.
Meanwhile Dynamos will clash with Harare City in a do or die match at Baobab Stadium in Ngezi tomorrow. The Glamour Boys have already sealed their place in the quarter finals when they face Black Rhinos. On the same day Caps United will be completing their Group One match against ZPC Kariba at the National Sports Stadium
