Jacaranda Music Festival underway

Music show lovers will have their thirst quenched at the Jacaranda Music Festival this weekend on the 8th and 9th of October.

Making its debut in 2018 and attracting thousands of patrons with a star-studded line up comprising local and international acts, the 3rd edition of the Jacaranda festival is expected to maintain the momentum considering the artists that have been roped in.

Festival founder and director, Walter Wanyanya said: “The festival starts on Friday with performances from Hope Masike, Mokoomba and Bryn K, while Mbeu, Jah Prayzah and The Travellers are expected to perform on Saturday.

“Because of covid-19 we are not going to have any international acts. We have a limited number of tickets due to COVID-19 again, so we are also going to stream the show on various social media platforms.”

The Jacaranda Arts Festival, a brainchild of the late Oliver Mutukudzi’s manager, Walter Wanyanya, was launched three years ago through his Ngoma Nehosho Arts Development Company, to promote young artists by giving them exposure.
