THE 15th edition of the Intwasa Arts Festival is running concurrently with the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair in Bulawayo since Tuesday.
The 15th edition of Bulawayo’s biggest arts and culture festival, Intwasa Arts festival running under the theme:‘re-ignite’ roars into life at the National Art Gallery in Bulawayo with a mixture of physical and online shows to manage numbers.
The five day multi- disciplinary festival, which runs until Friday brings together more than 120 local and international artists in various fields such as music, drama, theatre, dance.
“The physical side of the festival kicks off, we are going to have music, dance, fashion, theatre pieces,” said Nkululeko Nkala, Intwasa Organiser.
The festival which is the largest of its kind in Bulawayo will also play host to a number of artist centred workshops to empower artists as well as re-kindle their passion and drive to rebuild the industry after the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
