Internationally acclaimed Rhumba musician Koffi Olomide has jetted into the country ahead of collaborative music projects with celebrated urban grooves artist Rockford Josphat.
The move seems to be a boost for Roki’s music career with Olomide speaking on his mentorship role in the music industry.
Am da father people call the double king my duty is to promote young artists ,l do my art and this time am sure that the music video will be big hit ,he said.
Receiving the Rhumba maestro at the Robert Mugabe International Airport was music promoter Prophet Passion Java who is promoting the project under Passion Java Records.
Its an honour to receive Papa Koffi in Zimbabwe , as we all know he is a king in music .He has made a big impact in the music industry,said Java.
Also present at the airport was the Deputy Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation Honourable Tino Machakaire who reckons such partnerships are key in increasing the visibility of local artists on the international scene.
This is not the first time the Rhumba heavyweight has been in the country, after Olomide shared the stage with various local artists in 2014 and 2018.
