VISITING America-based Kool and the Gang band has toured the late Dr Oliver Mtukudzi’s Pakare Arts Centre, where band leader Robert Bell hailed Dr Mtukudzi’s widow, Mrs Daisy Mtukudzi, for preserving the legacy left by the late Superstar.

“His legacy is still going. His energy is still here, it’s not gone. She has managed to keep the place,” said Bell.

Mrs Mtukudzi further indicated that the arts centre is still open for aspiring musicians who would like to learn how to play the instruments.

“We are still open for those artists who wish to learn and it’s free, we do not charge,” she said.

The US band also watched the Black Spirits perform some of the late Dr Tuku’s songs.
The band came into the country last week with the aim of uniting Zimbabwean and American musicians through a music concert to be held in Zimbabwe.
