Boarding school students will remain at their respective institutions during the Easter holidays as part of efforts to reduce exposure to Covid-19.

Less than 48 hours before the Easter holidays, government has put to rest speculation surrounding the long weekend for boarding school learners after taking a firm position to limit movement during the forthcoming holidays.

This was the position presented during a post cabinet media briefing held in Harare this Tuesday.

The announcement comes as a huge relief for parents as they had become restless ahead of the long weekend.

Among other key highlights, Cabinet also approved a mining venture for graphite a development which will resuscitate Linx Mine which was not operating for more than five years.

Government also outlined key projects in power development and e-government initiatives that will boost efficiency.

According to the latest cabinet briefing strides have also been made to support the Small to Medium scale entrepreneurs under a government facility conducted under the 100 day cycle initiative.
