THE Ministry of Finance and Economic Development has launched translated versions of the National development Strategy one, amid expectations that all Zimbabweans will embrace the blueprint.

Launched in December last year by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, the National Development Strategy One provides the foundation for the country to achieve an upper  middle income status by 2030.

However, the stumbling block for the document to be understood by the generality of Zimbabweans has been the language.

This will now be a thing of the past after the blueprint was translated into 14 local languages and also available in other versions such as Braille, audio and E-book.

Government is alive to the country’s diversity with respect to languages spoken by Zimbabweans and has taken it upon itself to make sure that we engage everyone around this important mission of transforming the economy hence these translated versions, said Professor Ncube

Zimbabwe is on a journey to transform its economy where full participation of the citizenry is critical.
