INDIA has pledged to donate 75 thousand Covid-19 Vaccines to Zimbabwe with an opportunity to buy more.
This was confirmed by President Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa on his twitter handle saying Zimbabwe is grateful to India for its commitment to donating the Covid-19 vaccines.
The President also said the government is working tirelessly to obtain sufficient vaccines for the country to overcome the virus and revive the economy.
We are grateful to our Indian friends for committing to donate 75,000 COVID vaccines & for the opportunity to buy more moving forward. We are working tirelessly to obtain sufficient vaccines so we can overcome this virus & revive our economy, he wrote.
The 75 thousand Covid-19 vaccines from India will come after Zimbabwe received the first batch of 200 thousand doses of Sinopharm vaccines from China with the vaccination programme already underway after being launched yesterday.
