Two men aged 22 and 21 died after going to close to the flooded river and taking pictures.
Mazowe Assistant District Development Coordinator Mr Willard Masimba confirmed the incident while urging people no to go to close to flooded rivers.
The incident happened just a few hours after Bindura District Development Coordinator Mr Richard Chipfuwa issued a flood warning to communities in the Bindura, Mazowe area after 2 dams burst their walls thereby flooding Mazowe river.
There are high chances of flooding downstream Mazowe River. Residents should be well aware of this impending disaster so as to avoid loss of life, he warned.
Glendale resident Brian Jonga said Candy dam and Iron Duke farm burst their walls at around 7 a.m on Sunday morning.
