MUSICIAN and reknowned multi-award winning artist, Ammara Brown, has bagged two nominations at this year’s ZIMA Awards.

The R&B/afro-pop sensation made the announcement on her social media, seemingly excited but congratulating fellow nominees.

Brown, 32, was nominated for her latest music video “Glow In The Dark”, which was directed by Vusa “Blaqs” Hlatshwayo, under the Best Music Video category.

The songstress also got a nomination for Best Female, alongside Shasha, Janet Manyowa and Anita Jackson.

Otherwise known as the “Barefoot Goddess of Ammartia”, the singer and actress began her career as early as 3-years-old.

Being the daughter of a Zimbabwean music legend, Ammara is sometimes compared to the late great Andy Brown.

Brown has won awards at the Zimbabwe International Film Festival (ZIFF), a tribute to her acting career.

She has also won two awards at the Intentional Images Film Festival (IIFF).
