Bow Wow is in hot water after he hosted a rager of a concert on Friday evening in Houston, Texas (in the United States) amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
The 33-year-old rapper managed to pack a night club full of people who were seen maskless in the tight quarters to celebrate club promoter Larry Morrow’s ‘All Black Birthday Weekend.’
When footage from the performance at Clé nightclub flooded social media, Twitter users had a lot to say, prompting Bow Wow to respond before deleting all of his tweets.
It comes just days after Texas became the second state to record two million COVID-19 cases, after California. Houston currently has a 20% positivity rate, with a more contagious strain being discovered in recent days. 
The rapper – who tried to rebrand himself in recent years as Shad Moss – was seen performing with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 in hand as throngs of Texas locals turned out for the event.
The purported weekend long event also saw rapper Meek Mill in attendance with Trey Songz and Fabolous also slated to perform.
To many online, the only thing wilder than his flagrant disregard for COVID-19 was the fact that so many people risked it all to see him perform hits from 2005.
Twitter users went off on the matter as they dragged those that were desperate enough to see the somewhat-antiquated rapper, and even Zach Braff got in on the fun.
Careless: People seemed to be on top of each other as they drank and danced the night away.

The tweets just kept on coming as someone posted a photo of the Grim Reaper and wrote, ‘Covid joining Bow Wow on stage…’
A headline from Complex read that Bow Wow was being ‘roasted’, as a user turned it around and said it was the ‘crowd’ that should be ‘roasted’ for ‘attending Bow Wow concert during 2021.’
Another shared a photo of Squidward holding a blank list and wrote, ‘All the reasons to go see bow wow in 2021’

That ain’t it: A popular rapper when he was formerly ‘Lil Bow Wow,’ the artist who now calls himself Shad Moss is hardly a crowd favorite.
As of October, Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order allowing venues to host indoor events up to 75 percent capacity, with tables of no more than 10 people.
Houston’s chief medical officer, David Persse, outlined safety protocols when it came to hosting special events, that included six feet of physical distancing, mask wearing, temperature checks, and appropriate wristbanding once guests have been marked as free of symptoms.
The owners of Spire nightclub who also own Saturday’s venue Cle, came under fire for a Lil Baby concert in late November after video surfaced of patrons shoulder to shoulder without masks on.

An operator responded to the situation via text message as they told ABC
“We were below our legal occupancy. Every night we deal with keeping people socially distant. Once Lil Baby (Wednesday night’s headliner) started to perform, people got out of their seats and rush towards the front area, so we had to cut the concert short.”
The rapper who came to fame as ‘Lil Bow Wow’ in the early 2000s at the tender age of 13, has lost much credibility as an artist, with many of the tweets acknowledging that he is pretty much irrelevant in the music space.
After waking up to the headlines about his performance, the rapper turned to Twitter to try and defend himself, though he swiftly deleted them on Saturday.
At 2:30PM he wrote, “I just woke up…aww god. Here we go,” with the laugh-crying emoji.

He continued to say, ‘Man I been hosting parties all year. I wore my mask in the club. I can’t host with that thing on.’
The Atlanta resident tried to add that he only removed the mask when he got up to the mic, while adding ‘Keep sanitizer on me at all times.’
One user tried to defend the rapper and said, ‘we getting tired of this covid bulls***t, people need to and want to get out the house,’ to which Bow Wow responded ‘agreed.’
He tried to absolve himself from any wrongdoing as he was quick to point out that ‘Texas is open,’ as well as Atlanta. ‘I can’t help I live in a city where we been open since last spring.’ 
Mask off: ‘I wore my mask in the club. I can’t host with that thing on,’ he tweeted while adding that Texas was open for business.
