The ‘Shainawo’ single hit maker Alexio Kawara is set to launch his sixth album by this week’s end in the Capital.
The ten track Afro fusion album was produced by Cornelius Mukonda with the tite ‘Oyi’ and is set for the 11th of October 2019 at LA-Rouge Lounge in Harare.
Kawara noted that ‘Oyi’ reflects him retracing his roots as a Zimbabwean.
“Oyi reflects me trying to get back to my identity as a Zimbabwean. I also want people to better appreciate Zimbabwean music”, said Alexio
There are no collaborations in the album while tracks such as ‘Unombozviitirei’, ‘Chikoko’, title track ‘Oyi’ among others are to be expected.
Alexio will be backed by the Shades of Black and supporting act will be from Munya Mataruse and Kazevezeve band.
Launch starts at 7pm.
