It’s always wonderful when women support each other and the University of Zimbabwe was the place to be yesterday afternoon as the likes of socialite Pokello Nare, Unplugged Zimbabwe founders and organiser Elinah Chapumha and Chiedza Danha, fashion designer Cynthia Mabande, life coach Emily Mukanya, Florence Mutake and Henrica Makulu were roaring at the She Roars brand launch.
She Roars is the brainchild of Ruvimbo Nyikadzino who is an MC/Producer/Presenter and is roaring to life. The brand is focused on the need to celebrate young women’s achievements in Zimbabwe while joining hands to empower each other.
“We believe women can come together and empower each other to achieve their desired dreams .Our hashtags #sheroars #leavenosisterbehind#sister‘s keeper #letsroartogether,“said Nyikadzino.
The major takeaway of the event was empowering the young woman not to be afraid to conquer the world and not be afraid to shine.
One of the panelists socialite Pakello Nare stated that young women should choose finances over marriage.
“Young women should choose Finances over marriage, stop thinking about marriage in your twenties.
Focus on your career, focus on making money, marriage is for people who are fulfilled and have made it on their own”,stated Pokelo.
‘Unplugged’ founders and organisers Elinah and Chiedza encouraged women to find what they love and fight for it to be a reality.
“If you want to start a business identify what you love and be confident and consistent about your brand nomatter the situation”, attributed Chiedza.
The brand launch was a mouthful and is the first of the many events scheduled for the future encouraging women to shine.
