THIS year’s 108th Zimbabwe Agricultural Show which ran from the 27th of August to the 1st of September under the theme “from field to industry” was shut down by the Radio services of Zimbabwe.
The radio services proved why they are the number one entertainment powerhouse in the country. All the six radio stations from the radio services of Zimbabwe-National FM, Power FM, Khulumani FM, Classic 263, Radio Zimbabwe and Central FM all exhibited on one stage, they were the hub of excellent nonstop captivating entertainment.
The radio stations offered diverse entertainment which kept over 250 000 visitors entertained from 12 noon daily till late throughout the six days of the show. Onlookers were spoiled for choice in terms of entertainment. It was a fun family week as the radio stations gratified the interests of all their different target audiences.
All the radio services combined they have a total nationwide listenership of 82%.
However, Power FM as the youthful energetic radio station gave the public a show to remember as it offered audiences dynamic captivating entertainment. The station brought some of the trendy local artists who gave killer performances at the show. Some of these artists who showcased at the Power FM stand were Killer T, Trevor Dongo, Ricky fire, Extra Large, These artists brought their A game at the fair, they mesmerized the audience and left them still wanting more.
Furthermore, Power FM bubbly and talented radio personalities also captivated and excited their fans by mingling with them. The like of Butterphly, Tinashe, Dj Chilli, Tawastok, Dj Elroy, Dj Mailman took pictures with their fans.
The station’s nature of how good crowd grabbing it proved to be pulled advertisers to its stand. Institutions like the Youth Advocates Zimbabwe, POSB, PowerTel, Zimbabwe Power Company, Petrotrade came through and advertised with the radio station. They saw the brand Power FM as an ideal trademark to advertise with because it possessed amazing qualities of engaging with the audience.
