The 33 year old producer and musician Macdonald Chidavaenzi better known as MacDee visited our Power Fm studio this afternoon to launch his new single entitled Kanoenda.
“The song title was derived from the Shona saying, “kandiro kanoenda kunobva kamwe meaning you should do unto others as you want them to do unto you.”The talented producer said that for a change he decided to write and produced his own song which is more of a social complementary.In addition he said that he released the song so as to set an example to other young artists that you can actually sing a meaningful song in which people can enjoy.
“I started working on it in November 2017 and all this while it has been on my desk and then I decided to launch it today with Power Fm.After marrying his beautiful wife Rutendo, Macdonald lost his lovely mother in which he described as quite a rollercoaster of mixed emotions.“However after all this that happened I realised that in life you have to keep the people you love very close and also keep an eye on those who pretend to love and care whilst having negative intentions”
Mac Dee also pointed out that he dedicated the new inspirational song to all the people who have been there in his life.
He also gave thanks to ZBC and Power Fm in particular for uplifting him to where he is now.
