Power FM co-hosted a colourful and successful Spar Rainbow Run in aid of Childline Zimbabwe at Hellenic Junior School. The event has been running annually for the for 15 years , however this is its second year running under the title Rainbow Run moving from the previous title Fun Run.
Power FM was the official radio partner for the Rainbow Run 2017 , with this year seeing the station retaining the radio partner relationship with Spar .This year the station attracted over 5500 people to the 2018 Rainbow Run making it the biggest in the run’s history .
Ms Shamiso Pfumayaramba, the Spar Zimbabwe Marketing and PR Manager said that the 2018 Rainbow Run was a huge success , raising $30 000 , which was double the money raised for ChildLine Zimbabwe last year . All proceeds from the Rainbow Run go to Childline and enablethe organisation in its operations. Childline operates a free child helpline number 116 which responds to all concerns of children across Zimbabwe.
Power FM’s Butterply was the host once again for the 2018 Rainbow Run with station personalities like Miss Rach , Craig , Merciless Zimbabwe , Chamvary and TaTa covering the live broadcast of the event . Power FM station manager Ms Rumbidzai Moyo said that the station remains the only radio station in Zimbabwe actively participating in CSR activities that are directly linked to helping children across Zimbabwe and will continue to have several CSR Activities for the year 2018.
